End User License Agreement
Last updated: May 3, 2026.
Simple summary: by installing, copying, activating or using PrintForge PDF Lite, you receive a license to use the software. The software itself is not sold as full ownership: what is granted is the right to use it under the terms below.
Permitted use
Install and use the application for legitimate PDF tasks in personal, professional or administrative environments.
Lifetime license
One-time payment for use of the licensed version, with no mandatory monthly subscription.
Local use
The application is designed to process PDF files locally on Windows.
1. Acceptance of terms
This End User License Agreement governs the use of PrintForge PDF Lite. By installing, copying, running, activating or using the software, you state that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not install, activate or use the software.
2. Definitions
- Software: the PrintForge PDF Lite application, including executable files, libraries, resources, documentation and updates made available.
- License: a limited authorization to use the software under these terms.
- User: any individual or organization that installs, tests, purchases, activates or uses the software.
- Seat: a licensed unit of use, usually associated with one user, device or authorized installation, depending on the license purchased.
3. License grant
Subject to your compliance with these terms, PrintForge Docs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use PrintForge PDF Lite according to the type of license purchased.
This license allows the software to be used for legitimate personal, professional, administrative, educational or commercial purposes, subject to the restrictions in this agreement.
4. Free trial
PrintForge PDF Lite may be made available with a trial period. During this period, users may test the main features of the software before purchasing a license.
Under the current model, when the trial period ends, the application may show a friendly reminder when it opens. This model may change in future versions if communicated through official product channels.
5. Lifetime license
A lifetime license means authorization to use the licensed version of the software after a one-time payment, with no mandatory recurring monthly fee.
A lifetime license does not mean indefinite free upgrades, new products, unlimited lifetime support, permanent online services or eternal compatibility with future versions of Windows.
6. Activation and license data
To activate the licensed version, the user may receive a serial number, license file or another activation method. These credentials are personal or linked to the purchase and must not be published, resold, distributed or publicly shared.
The user is responsible for keeping license data in a safe place. In case of loss, support may request purchase information to attempt to locate or resend the license.
7. Number of installations and seats
Permitted use depends on the type of license purchased. Individual licenses are intended for one user or one main installation unless expressly authorized otherwise. Business licenses may be organized by seats according to the number purchased.
If a company needs to install the software on multiple machines or make it available to multiple users, it must purchase the appropriate number of seats or a compatible business license.
8. Permitted use
The user may use the software for legitimate PDF-related tasks, including:
- merging PDF files;
- splitting or extracting pages;
- compressing PDFs;
- converting images to PDF;
- exporting PDF pages as images;
- protecting PDFs with a password;
- processing files in batch when the feature is available.
9. Restrictions
The user may not:
- copy, resell, sublicense, rent, distribute or make the license available to third parties without authorization;
- remove ownership notices, trademarks, copyright notices or software identification;
- bypass trial, license, activation or protection mechanisms;
- modify, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, except where allowed by applicable law;
- use the software to violate laws, copyrights, privacy, confidentiality or third-party rights;
- use the software in high-volume automated, hosted or service-based environments for third parties without a specific license.
10. Intellectual property
PrintForge PDF Lite, its brand, interface, design, code, documentation, icons, texts and related elements are protected by intellectual property rights. The user receives only a license to use the software, not ownership of the software itself.
In the United States, software can be protected under copyright law as an original work fixed in a tangible medium.
11. User documents
The user retains ownership and responsibility for their own documents, PDF files, images, reports, contracts, attachments and other content processed by the software.
PrintForge PDF Lite is designed to process files locally. Users should keep backup copies of important documents before performing operations such as compression, splitting, conversion, password protection or batch processing.
12. Passwords and PDF protection
When the user protects a PDF with a password, it is the user’s responsibility to store that password safely. If the password is lost, PrintForge Docs may not be able to recover the protected content.
13. Updates
PrintForge Docs may make updates, fixes, improvements or new versions of the software available. Some updates may be free, while future versions, major revisions or new products may require a new license, upgrade or additional payment.
Update availability may vary depending on the product stage, commercial policy, distribution platform and technical compatibility.
14. Support
Support may be provided by email, support page or other official channels. Support does not include a guarantee of individual customization, recovery of damaged files, legal consulting, unlimited support or permanent support for older versions.
15. Refunds
Refunds, cancellations or chargebacks may depend on the payment platform used, the applicable period, applicable law and the commercial policy shown at the time of purchase.
Before purchasing, users are encouraged to test the free trial to verify whether the software meets their needs.
16. No absolute warranty
The software is provided as is, with the purpose of assisting with PDF tasks. Although efforts are made to deliver a stable and useful tool, there is no guarantee that the software will be error-free, work in every scenario, be compatible with every PDF, meet every specific requirement or remain compatible with every future environment.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PrintForge Docs shall not be liable for indirect losses, lost profits, data loss, business interruption, third-party failures, issues caused by improper use, lost passwords, lack of backups or damage caused by corrupted, protected or incompatible files.
The user is responsible for reviewing output files, maintaining backups and using the software in a way appropriate to their needs.
18. Termination
The license may be terminated if the user violates these terms, especially in cases of unauthorized distribution, public sharing of serial numbers, attempts to bypass activation, improper reverse engineering or abusive use.
In case of termination, the user must stop using the software and remove unauthorized copies.
19. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated periodically to reflect changes in the software, license model, distribution method, features, providers used or legal requirements. The update date will be shown at the top of this page.
